Cock Fight news

There was a double header cock fight last night at the Lonsdale arena. Match one was between Sir Phillip’s cock and Gordan Arthur's cock. The second match was Peter Brownrigg's cock and Joe Arnold's cock.

The first match went by very quickly. Sir Phillip’s rooster threw some fast jabs at the neck of its opponent. The fight ended in a fast bloody massacre. Gordan Arthur's rooster had no chance for victory. A random person from the audience states "It was the craziest thing I have ever seen". In the second match Peter's rooster came out on top with a round three win. Both competitors fought strong, but Peter’s rooster had a late burst of energy, and was able to last longer then its opponent.

Sir Phillip's and Peter Brownrigg's cocks now face off tomorrow night at the Lonsdale coliseum. They’ll be fighting for the cock championship. The winner earns 5 pounds and a trip to see Romeo and Juliet in London, England. This is going to be a very intense fight, but only the best cock will win.

I felt happy after I finished this book. Brian getting saved was awesome, and it was a great way to finish the book. The funniest part of this book would have to be when he ate a lot of berries and during the night he was vomiting and had bad diarrhea. The saddest party would be when he heard the sound of the plane coming and he got really happy, but then it flew away. At this point he fell into a deep depression and he started to cut himself. I remember this whole book really well. I could probably give you a book summary off the top of my head.

There was a bunch of exiting parts in this book that I really like. The most exiting part would have been when the plane was crashing. I was like no way is this actually happening. The weirdest part of this book would have to be when the skunk just randomly popped by and sprayed Brian. I though it was pretty funny. The mood had a change a few times because right after he crashed he thought he was going to die. About mid way through the book he started to except what was happening and live with it. Then about ¾ of the way through the book he started to enjoy living in the forest, he liked it.

I feel that this book really made you think, it really made you think about what you have and what you would do if u lost it all. I feel that the book almost inspired me, like it opened my eyes to life and everything I have and how I should appreciate that and be happy I have what I have. When I finished this book I just wished there was more pages because I just wanted to keep reading it, it sucked me right into the story. I would be very happy if he was to write a sequel to this book. I would definitely read it. I have yet to read a book as good as this one. The next best book would be “The outsiders”.

I would definitely recommend people that are into adventure books to read this book. It is very entertaining. After the first paragraph you’re sucked in and you just can’t stop reading this book. If you don’t want to be hooked to something don’t pick up this book. I think every body should read this book.

I feel this whole book was an example of good writing. I think the best written and described part of this book is when the plane crashed and the author was explaining what was happening to Brian. How his head was swollen, mosquito's were “attacking him” ,and how he was getting a terrible sun burn. He used a lot of adjectives and verbs to describe what exactly was happening to Brian. It gave you a great mental picture about what was going on. Overall his writing was very well explained. The way he explained it was like having a movie in your head.

“If you keep going back from good luck you'll find bad luck”. I like this quote because it's very true, when you have good luck to get there you would have had bad luck to get you in that situation. He said this quote right after he realized that he was alive after the plane crash. I think it makes a lot of sense, and is a believable quote. It seems like a quote I would use or think of if I was in a situation of “good luck”. He's good luck he survived, but bad luck that he was in a plane crash.

From this book I learned that you always have to think positive and can never give up. You should never put you're self down, you will not get any where in life if your life if all you do is think negative thoughts about you're self. No matter what happens, a crash that leaves you stranded or your getting bullied, you should always think positive. Life is to short to think down on yourself. I also learned that if you were to be trapped some where or have to live somewhere by yourself for a long time you should never throw anything away every thing can be used as something. One man's garbage is another man's treasure.

This book gives me many ideas for when I am writing my own story. I noticed that it is a lot more exiting when you 're not told everything at the beginning of the story, it keeps you thinking about whats going to happen next. I also learned that you should not make it to easy for the main character, make them work for what they want. I think it makes the book more interesting. I have started to realize after a few books I've read, and this one that the character has to except something or learn something before they can get saved or capture the bad guy. I also learned that you need a good ending for your story, if you have a bad ending it could wreck the whole story.

The Hatchet

I decided to read The Hatchet because I have read other books from Gary Paulsen and I really liked them. They had the adventure plot in them that really keeps me entertained. I always liked the way he wrote books, he would never tell you everything right away.

I picked this song to relate to my book because it remined me of all of Brian's rough and painfull nights. The times when he was going through depression from not getting save and the feeling of his broken rids after he got ran down by a mouse.But he was strong insude and he kept trying and thinking positive. It is a sad song, it makes you think about, “what if that did happen to me”.
